Appearance:
Aquila has take many forms over the years and has possessed many people and creatures in the past. The body she owns now was created by her with the aid of Blindspot, the arcane and the lives of thirteen young girls. This time around Aquila stands 5'6" and fit with curves in all the right places. She has raven black hair with copper skin. The most luminescent feature about her is her eyes, an extravagant violet. The color of her irises seem to flow slowly, like a circular river of violet lava. Her voice is anything but natural and is a power all in its own. Her voice magically suggests feelings of fear, lust, calmness, sadness and any other emotion one can conceive.
Abilities:
Her apathetic voice magically imposes different emotions upon all who hear it, and is also mentioned above. For example, if Aquila uses a tone in anger, those around her should feel an emotion similar to fear, shame or guilt. This can also work in an enemy's favor. For example, if Aquila screams in fear or pain then everyone in her company should feel something equivalent to empowerment, pride or accomplishment. Of course this all depends on the character it is bestowed upon.
She can manipulate the darkness into anything she wishes which will function as it would if it was tangible, even creatures with consciousness. These things can be destroyed, but are easily mendable as they return to their shadow state. She can not, however, create darkness.Therefore, this ability is limited to the amount of darkness available.
Aquila, being djinn, can of course grant wishes to anyone she deems worthy. The only rules being she can not bring anyone back from death, she can not make anyone fall in love with anyone and no one can wish her more powerful. That is something that must be done the old fashioned way, with rituals and incantations. At any time, Aquila can also undo a wish she grant (unless you wish that a wish can not be undone. Which of course is up to Aquila's discretion). Be careful when wishing death, for that can not be undone.
This dangerous djinn also can read the souls of others after spending some time with someone. This aids her in deciding who to grant wishes to. As well as the strength equivelant to a champion male body builder.
Personality:
Aquila is manipulative and sly and will almost go to any lengths to achieve her goals. She takes joy in the misery of others and often makes it a hobby to bestow such misery on others. She achieves this by lulling people into a false security and mystifies them with her abilities. Eventually she offers her victims a wish, which she grants. If the words of the wish are not carefully chosen, Aquila will twist the wish into any interpretation she is satisfied with. Aquila is desire and rage in its raw form.
Brief History:
Djinn were born of smokeless fire, before the earth was even created. Djinn enjoyed their time of being, and contrary to popular belief, have free will. There were both evil and good djinn. Men then were created and for a time Djinn and man lived side by side, not always aware of each others existance. Then man discovered magic and became very aware of djinn's existance. Man discovered a way to imprison djinn and eventually found a way to enslave them.
The enslavement ritual requires an imprisoned or incarnate djinn and a body for the djinn to possess, for a djinn must inhabit a body if it is to be enslaved. Both the body and the enslaver must be carved with the ancient insignia.The insignia to enslave, free and transfer a djinn are the same. It is the way in which it is read that determines the results. This ritual can only be performed by those who have experience with the arcane and are skilled in magic. There is only one rule when owning a djinn, you must never ask the djinn to perform a wish from what it is incapable of doing or it is freed from ownership.Other than that the djinn MUST perform any wish you request. Still, choose your words carefully.
Aquila was not always completely djinn, she was once a human girl. Her name was Aziza, she was loved and born to a mother who was thought to be too old to bear children. Amira loved and cared for Aziza as long as a single mother could for, without support. It was quite sinful for a mother to give birth out of wedlock. What Amira died of is unclear as 'doctors' could only guess back then. Aziza was forced to roam the streets at the age of six and fend for herself. Surely she would have tied if a migrant witch doctor, Brussel, had not took her in. Brussel fed the child, gave her shelter and cared for her. Although, she had internal motives. Brussel used Aziza as a human trashcan and spirit kennel. People come to Brussel with ails, woes and sometimes bring possessed love ones. Brussel, highly skilled with magic, would remove thier sickness and evil spirits for a small fee. To keep the spirits trapped Brussel deposited them within the young girl. Aziza was raised this way until the fateful age of 11, when the spirit of a djinn was deposited within her. Despite her inhumane and sickly life, Aziza still dreamed of bigger and better things. She dreamed of traveling the world and of helping those in need. Aziza's soul was a bundle of caring innocence, and the djinn sensed it immediately and saught to corrupt it.
Aziza's body was possessed by the djinn in which she used it to slaughter Brussel, hoping that Aziza would enjoy the death. Aziza was forced to watch and feel her bodily actions as if watching a first person movie, yet Aziza still helf firm to her beliefs in all that is light and good. Aziza's soul was forced to watch this for 14 years, and her beliefs were still unwavering. During these years Aziza tried to talk the djinn into asking for redemption. Her 14th birthday was the last draw. The djinn at its wits end having met its match, she couldn't describe why she wanted this Aziza's soul so badly or what it was about her that was different, but it was and she needed it. The djinn then performed one of the deepest and darkest magic one can perform, so unheard of that it had only been done successfully twice before. The djinn sacrificed its own existance to fuse its spirit with that of Aziza. The magic was so intense that its malice spread throughout the surrounding village spreading death in its wake before decipating. And so Aquila was born with no conscious memory of her previous life or existance.
Aquila at first was neutral until she was enslaved, the only way out was to misconstrue a wish into murder. After that day things have slowly declined and Aquila became very aware of the evil done to her and how to murder was the only way to get buy. Eventually she grew a taste for it and now misery is her addiction.
She was later imprisoned for 500 hundred years in a stone deemed the 'Eagles Eye' stone. All records of her were destroyed in an attempt to keep her imprisoned from power hunger beings. She lay there, in wait, until the alien Nyx accidentally offered her body for possession. She longed for her own body, and discovered Blindspot. She forcibly enlisted his assistance, for a djinn can never free or transfer themselves. He reluctantly performed ritual that lead to Aquila's new body.
